# SeekOut MCP

Connect SeekOut to search and source talent from your AVCodex agent using OAuth.

SeekOut is a talent sourcing and recruiting platform. Connecting it lets an agent search candidate profiles, build sourcing lists, and pull talent market data in conversation.

## Where this fits in AV

Hiring is the constraint on growth in most integration businesses. Qualified techs, programmers, and project managers are scarce, and the sourcing work usually falls on an operations leader who does not have time for it.

Two realistic uses:

- **An internal recruiting agent.** Loaded with your role definitions and certification requirements (CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D, Crestron or Q-SYS certifications, low-voltage licensing by jurisdiction), it can run sourcing searches without your ops lead learning the SeekOut query syntax.
- **Talent market intelligence.** Answering "how many CTS-D holders are within 50 km of this metro" is useful input when deciding whether to open a branch or subcontract.

If you do not do your own recruiting, skip this integration.

## Connect

1. Open your app in the builder and go to **Pro Actions**.
2. Find **SeekOut** and click **Connect**.
3. Complete the OAuth flow and authorize access.
4. Configure which tools the agent may call.

## What the agent can do

- Search candidate profiles by skills, title, location, and experience.
- Retrieve profile detail for a matched candidate.
- Build and manage sourcing lists.
- Pull aggregate talent market data.

## Cautions

This integration touches candidate personal data, so treat it differently from your other connections.

- **Do not make a recruiting agent publicly accessible.** Restrict it to named internal users via [Access Control](/docs/guides/access-control).
- **Privacy law applies.** Candidate data is personal information under PIPEDA in Canada, GDPR in the EU, and various state laws in the US. Handling it through an AI agent does not change your obligations.
- **Do not use an agent to screen or rank candidates.** Beyond the fairness problems, automated decision-making in hiring is regulated in a growing number of jurisdictions. Use the integration for sourcing and search, and keep evaluation with humans.
- **Turn off user memory for this app** so candidate details are not retained across unrelated sessions.
