What ZDR Mode Does#
When ZDR is on:
- Stateless LLM calls. Only models that do not log or store request data are used.
- No provider-side retention. Model providers do not retain prompts or responses.
- Ephemeral processing. Data is processed and immediately discarded by the model provider.
What ZDR Mode Does Not Cover#
Read this carefully:
- Your database. Conversation history is still stored in your dedicated AVCodex database (which you control).
- Application logs. Standard application logging still occurs inside your infrastructure.
- Third-party services. Some application-layer services (analytics, error tracking) may still process data.
ZDR ensures the model provider does not retain your data. It does not eliminate all storage. Combined with single-tenant infrastructure, it is a much stronger privacy posture than a shared platform.
